The dogs on this page are all looking for their forever homes!
It takes just the right dog to be a service dog, and most dogs don't have what it takes. This means that I often have a lot of service dog drop-outs that need homes and make wonderful pets! As much as I can, I try to get my training dogs from high-kill shelters. The dogs that I pull for training will never end up back in a shelter setting, even if they immediately fail being a service dog once I get them home. Below are all dogs that are looking for their forever homes.
If interested, please contact me. All rehoming fees go back toward rescuing and training other dogs.
If you are looking for a dog, but none of the ones currently available are catching your eye, let me know! I go back to the valley several times a month and am happy to look for a dog for you. If I find a dog that matches what you are looking for, I will bring that dog back to the Central Coast. From there, you can have a trial run with the dog. If it isn't everything you hoped for, I'll take the dog back no problem and foster them until they find their forever home! My goal is to just prevent as many awesome dogs from being euthanized as possible, and place them with wonderful families.
THERE ARE NO ADOPTABLE DOGS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. YOU MAY STILL FILL OUT OUR APPLICATION AHEAD OF TIME
TO PUT YOU AT THE TOP OF OUR CALL LIST IF WE GET A DOG THAT MEETS YOUR NEEDS.
Diesel is a 10month old Pit Bull that I am fostering for a friend until he finds his forever home. He is very silly, friendly with everyone, and still very much a puppy. Diesel has had a lot of training and walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, can roll over, is crate trained and potty trained.
Diesel does well off leash and loves to run on the beach and play fetch. He loves to play and run, but at home he is a total couch potato wanting to snuggle and chew on bones. He has never been destructive when left home alone, but we have only tested him loose in the house for a few hours at this point.
He is 55lbs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He will come with his favorite toy, a fleece onesie, and some food. His adoption fee is $200.
Tay is a 3yr old Lab/Husky/Shepherd mix looking for an active home with no cats. He is incredibly smart and very snuggly. Tay needs an owner that will hold healthy boundaries with him so he knows he can't run the show.
Tay knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. Tay's biggest issue is that he is an escape artist when not supervised. While he doesn't try to escape when you are there in the yard with him, he is able to jump a 6ft fence and break out of plastic and wire kennels. For this reason, he will need to find a home that either has an electric fence around the yard's perimeter, or a space for him to be kept inside when left home alone.
This big boy is up to date on shots, neutered, and on flea, tick and heart worm prevention. His adoption fee is $50.
